What's the difference between international SEO and just translating our content?
Translation and localisation are completely different things. A translated page uses your words in another language. A localised SEO page is built around how people in that country actually search โ€” different keywords, different search intent, different content expectations. German buyers search differently to Spanish buyers even when looking for the same product. International SEO means researching and optimising for each market natively, not just converting your existing content into another language.

What is hreflang and why does it matter?
